He is small, fluffy, and loves attention. His name is Alexander Graham Bell, but he likes to be called “Graham” and he is the official community resource dog of Curry College.

Curry College President, Jay Gonzalez, took to Instagram back on December 16th, 2023 to announce the pending arrival of the new member to the Curry Community. The 10-week-old Golden Retriever arrived on February 4th, 2024 and
since then he has received tons of attention from both faculty and staff, and students.

Luca Kiami, a sophomore Community Ed major, met Graham recently, laying on the ground to get a good look.

“It was totally worth getting my pants dirty,” said Kiami.

When asked how others would probably feel when seeing the new pup he said, “Who wouldn’t want to see a cute puppy running around campus? They bring happiness to everyone.”

Graham has begun training at Golden Opportunities for Independence in Walpole, Massachusetts, where he will be educated and trained to become an official Community Resource Dog.

For people who do not even own dogs the news and arrival of Graham has brought excitement. Julius Culliton, a junior with a Studio Arts major, is excited for the new addition to campus.

“I just recently found out about him, and I think it would be good for the college and students,” said Culliton. He also thinks it’s a positive for those from farther away.

“Students who are away from home from their pets will be impacted in a positive way,” he said.

Graham is at puppy school Monday through Thursday in the morning and he is always excited to meet new people. Graham can be found at the president’s office on Campus.
