After a years-long rebranding initiative, Curry College unveiled its new logo on Wednesday, February 21st. The more contemporary logo still features the familiar white and purple colors of Curry’s brand, but focuses on a large “C” with the name of the college in capital letters below in a more streamlined font than the previous “Trajan” font, that the college determined was outdated.
The “C” in the new logo is called the “infinity C” and, according to the college branding page on the Curry website, it “represents the endless caring, support, and community offered at Curry.”

In an email to the Curry community, Liz Matson, Vice-President of Marketing and Communications, said the logo and new branding will help with recruitment, help foster community life, and assist in fundraising.
A poll of students, faculty and staff was held which narrowed the logos down to two, with this logo being the preferred design by a majority of poll participants.
As the Currier Times earlier reported, the college has been working with Carnegie Higher Education on this ongoing branding project.
The rollout of the new logo will continue throughout the semester and up to the inauguration of Curry’s new president, Jay Gonzalez, scheduled for Friday, April 12th.
Decisions have yet to be made on a new mascot for Curry, now that the Colonel has been retired. The Athletic teams will continue to use the interlocking “CC” logo that they’ve been using for the past few years.
This is a breaking story and the Currier Times will be updating as new information becomes available.
