The first “Club Curry” event of the new academic year was held in September with more club dates on the way. The Office of Student Engagement hosted the event in the Alumni Recreation Center on the 21st. 

Curry College senior, Carly Jones, worked check-in for the event as the OSE Coordinator.

“We had bucket hats, slushies for both 21+ and under, Montilio’s Pizza came and made pizza for everyone at the event,” said Jones.

This event was held from 10pm-1am in the ARC with a bar for the 21+ students and a live DJ.

Students got to customize a bucket hat, use Disco inspired props, like straws and glasses for pictures, and enjoy a glass of wine from the decanted wine bar or a specialty cocktail and a firewood pizza. 

Though there weren’t a lot of people in attendance because of the rain, this event was super fun and was a good break for all students.

Curry College Student Government Association is planning on hosting a Country night as well as a Halloween party in coming weeks.

Senior class of 2025 President, John Garrison, is excited for the Halloween party he is putting on for Friday, October 18th.

“SGA and the Class of 2025 are hosting a Club Curry in October (18th),” said Garrison. “The theme of the Club Curry is a costume party where students come and dress up. There will be different prizes like a Screamfest ticket, a gift card, and a Halloween gift basket. We are also getting Jools Fried Dough.” 

In addition to the Halloween-themed event on the 18th, another Club Curry will be October 25th. Senior, Taylor Tibbetts, attended Country night last year and had a great time at that event and knew she wanted to bring it back.

“This year’s Club Curry event is Flannel and Fizz on October 25th and we have alum, Brandon Clay, from 101.7 The Bull coming again to DJ for the night,” said Tibbetts. “There will be bar service available for 21+ and the event will run from 10pm-1am.”
