After a tumultuous start to the Spring semester, for most students Spring Break can’t come soon enough.
But first, students must navigate through Midterm exams and any projects or papers due prior to their departure from campus. Then from March 12th to March 20th, they will be getting a chance to rest and recharge.
For some, that means staying close to home.
“I’ll be working and spending time with my boyfriend,” said Shayla Tran, a sophomore Communication major.
Nursing student, senior Christina Louissaint, is similar. “I’ll be hanging out with my boyfriend,” Louissaint said.
Recreation is key for senior, Chris Lahiff. “I’ll be playing basketball,” he said.
Many Curry athletes will be hitting the road, including baseball and softball, with trips to Florida. Lacrosse is also heading out of town.
“I’m going to Texas for lacrosse,” said junior, Robbie Tartaglia.
But a true vacation is in the works for a few lucky students.
“I’m going on vacation overseas to somewhere I can’t pronounce,” said sophomore Biology major, Flori Bouma.
And senior, Kiara Lugo, might be summing it up best for a vast majority of students…where a “Spring Break” is merely a mirage.
“I’m working,” said Lugo.
