Spring weekend was the main event at Curry the weekend of April 22, 23, and 24th. There were so many different events and activities that were part of the pop 2k spring weekend.
On Friday, Curry had something called “barn babies” set up on the lawn outside of the Student Center as part of the Earth Day Fest. Everyone gathered around to see the cute animals. There were dogs, bunnies, cats, and more having the time of their lives being pets.
This student absolutely loved the cute animals at the petting zoo that was here at Curry on Friday.
“I thought it was a great way to start off the weekend,” said Declan Grant, a Nursing major. “The animals were very
cute and I got to hold a bunny.”
That Friday night they held Drag Bingo in the main dining hall. Some of the prizes included shirts, echo dot, Curry mug, coffee maker, and Nintendo switch. Everyone had an amazing time and a special few got to go home with some cool prizes.
The pop 2k spring weekend continued all day Saturday. There was a cornhole game on the lawn. There were fun tattoo stations and a picture booth with funny props. There was also a bouncy house as well. The lawn chairs were set up so everyone could get some sun on such a beautiful day.
It was a perfect day to set up your fundraiser! There was a table outside the Student Center on Saturday selling T-shirts to raise money for ALS. They had a successful day selling T-shirts for such an amazing cause.
“We raised 1200 dollars and we were very successful,” said Delaney Agnes, a junior Nursing major. “We also got a lot of support from the community.”
