Vaughan and Antonsen said they were excited to now represent their class and work to make a difference in the college.

Polls opened for voting this past Tuesday, with a slate of uncontested races throughout SGA.

This year, voting totals were lower than normal, according to SGA President Corey Theodore. There were 478 votes placed, with votes from the freshmen class accounting for 361 of them.

“The vote turnout was a little less than expected, but I look forward to working with the newly elected members,” said Theodore.

The students who were elected will serve on SGA until the end of the spring semester. Elections will be held again during the spring semester for the 2013-14 academic year.
